Microsoft has announced that support for Microsoft Office 365 apps is ending on Windows 10 very soon.

Microsoft 365 apps will end support on Windows 10 computers after October 14, 2025, the company said in a blog post.

According to the blog post, users will need to upgrade their devices to Windows 11 to use Microsoft 365 apps.

Earlier, similar steps were taken by the company for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1.

However, this announcement does not mean that Word, Excel, or other Office apps will completely stop working on computers equipped with Windows 10 after October 14, 2025.

If you look at computers with Windows 7 or 8 operating systems, these apps still work, users just don’t have access to critical updates.

In a separate help article, the company said that when you start using the Windows 11 operating system, you will have access to all Microsoft 365 features and security updates as before.

Users who are not ready to update their operating system (not all Windows 10 computers can be updated to Windows 11), will continue to have access to all the features of various apps such as Edge, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Computers have changed a lot since the Windows 10 operating system was introduced, they have become faster and more powerful than ever before, the company said.
