Currently, Apple releases new iPhones once a year, but the company is contemplating a change to this approach.

According to a report by The Information, Apple plans to divide the new iPhone series starting in 2026 into two phases.

Apple’s iPhone 18 series is introduced in two phases, six months after each launch.

The report states that Apple will present the first iPhone 18 series Pro models in September, as usual, while the more affordable iPhone 18 models will be unveiled in the spring of 2027.

Furthermore, the report indicates that Apple’s first foldable iPhone may debut 2026 alongside the Pro models.

Similarly, Apple will also launch the thinnest iPhone 17 Air this year.

Apple plans to launch a new model of the iPhone 17 Air in 2026.

The report mentions that Apple is also considering producing cheaper versions of the iPhone 18 series in India to reduce its dependence on China, as the US President’s tariffs could impact the company’s profits.
