So far, several companies have developed foldable phones, but Apple has not released any such iPhone.
However, a new report suggests that Apple’s first foldable iPhone could be launched very soon.
This innovative device is expected to be launched in the second half of 2026.
Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned analyst, indicated that the foldable iPhone may be unveiled in September 2026, coinciding with the iPhone 18 series release.
Because of the foldable iPhone’s expected high price, Apple does not anticipate strong sales.
If this information is correct, a design or glimpse of the foldable iPhone may be revealed soon.
Rumors suggest that the foldable iPhone will feature a camera integrated into the display and will have a book-style fold, allowing users to open and close it like a book.
The battery is expected to be excellent, and all these features will likely come at a high cost.
While the exact price is still up in the air, earlier reports suggest it could fall somewhere in the range of $2,100 to $2,500.
The top-tier iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at $1,199, and a foldable version could likely cost around double that amount.
Some sources estimate that the first foldable iPhone could be larger than 7.9 to 8.3 inches.
It will utilize a flexible OLED display that can withstand thousands of open-and-close cycles without damage.
It will also feature a powerful new processor and an excellent camera system.
Notably, Apple tends to adopt new technologies cautiously, waiting for improvements before integration.
