Apple’s first smart glasses are expected to be introduced next year, with a launch set for 2026.

According to a Bloomberg report, they will closely resemble Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses in features, but the Apple brand will set them apart from their competitors.

The report indicates that Apple’s smart glasses are anticipated to be unveiled by the end of 2026.

These glasses will be equipped with cameras, microphones, speakers, and multi-modal artificial intelligence (AI).

Additionally, they will utilize AI technology to analyze their surroundings.

According to the report, these smart glasses will stand apart from Apple’s VR headset, Vision Pro, highlighting their unique features and capabilities.

Because of these smart glasses, the company has also chosen not to include a camera in Apple Watch devices.

With these glasses, users will be able to perform various tasks currently possible with smartphones, such as controlling music playback and asking questions of Apple’s digital assistant, Siri.

The report indicates that prototype models of the smart glasses may be ready at the end of this year.

Essentially, Apple’s smart glasses embody the company’s advancement in augmented reality (AR) technology.

Apple is working on AR glasses as an alternative to iPhones, but the availability date remains unclear.

In a statement in 2022, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, expressed his enthusiasm for AR technology.

He said that the technology sector is still in its formative stages and recognizes significant opportunities ahead.
