Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX, has stated that moving to Mars can ensure the safety of human civilization.
Musk claimed in an interview that Mars is essential for preserving human life, as Earth will become uninhabitable in a few billion years.
He explained that the sun will gradually render life on Earth extinct and that human civilization will ultimately be necessary on multiple planets.
He asserted that only 10 percent of life on Earth remains, given that records show our planet is 4.5 billion years old.
Musk says, “If Earth has been here for 4.5 billion years, then only 10% of its life remains, after which this planet will become so hot that it will be impossible for any life to exist here.”
The owner of SpaceX stated that Mars could become our second home.

He said that we still have a lot of work ahead. Reaching Mars does not mean we can simply place flags and live there. We need to first establish a stable city.
He warned that relying on supplies from Earth for survival on Mars does not guarantee life.
Until the red planet achieves self-sufficiency, establishing human civilization there is not feasible.
Elon Musk announced that SpaceX will launch the Starship rocket to Mars in late 2026.
This rocket will transport the Optimus robot, developed by Tesla, to Mars.
If this mission is successful, the first human mission to Mars could be sent in 2028.

Elon Musk has long dreamed of reaching Mars. In a post on X in December 2023, he expressed that humanity should leave Earth to establish a base on the moon and a city on Mars.
He claimed, according to an article published in August 2022, that humans should be able to travel to other planets.
He said, “If Earth is no longer habitable, we will have to fly to a new home in a space plane.
