A new artificial intelligence (AI) model has been released for free by OpenAI.

According to the company, it is speeding up the process of launching products, which is being done when a Chinese company is emerging in competition with OpenAI.

After the surprising success of the Chinese company DeepSeek’s AI model, OpenAI introduced an AI model called o3 Mini.

OpenAI’s new AI model will be offered for free, but its usage will be limited.

The release of the R1 model by Deepseek significantly impacted the US market.

R1 reached the number one position in the free apps category of Apple’s App Store in the US and several other countries, while the US stock market experienced a loss of $1 billion as a result.

Sam Altman, the chief executive of OpenAI, responded to DeepSeek’s challenge by promising that they would develop better models more quickly.

Following the introduction of the DeepSeek KR1 model, on January 23, Sam Altman announced plans to introduce the o3 mini, a less powerful version of the company’s most powerful o3 model.

Now, OpenAI has released a statement stating that we are introducing a model with real-time capabilities to our free users for the first time.

According to the statement, this is an important step towards expanding access to the latest AI technology.

DeepSeek’s AI Chatbot R1 is touted as having performance comparable to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and being built with minimal resources.

According to OpenAI, the O3 mini model is similar to the previous 01 model.

It assists users in math, coding, and science fields, and it is significantly more affordable than the previous model while providing faster responses.

Customers using the ChatGPT Pro package paying $200 per month will get unlimited access to o3 while cheaper Plus subscribers have some limits.

Free users will face the most restrictions while using this model.
